Continuing Education & Workforce Training

Workforce Development offers continuing education and workforce training courses and programs leading to industry recognized certifications and professional certifications.

These courses and programs include those in allied health such as Pharmacy Technician, Medical Billing and Coding, Personal Fitness Trainer, and in information technology such as Website Management and the new Security+ Certified Professional Certification Program.

Classes run in compressed timeframes and are available day and evening.

Career Services

Workforce Development also offers career  services to current students and alumni of Thomas Nelson Community on the first floor at the Historic Triangle campus. TNCC Career Services provides a a variety of resources and individual guidance that assists individuals in preparing their resumes and polishing their skills to pursue their choice positions on their own.

Services include: career counseling, vocational assessment, career planning assistance, career development workshops, interview and employment preparation, resume /cover letter writing assistance and job search assistance.
